  China News Service, September 27th. In the early morning of the 27th, Chinese basketball player Zhou Qi announced on his personal social media that he had renewed his contract with the Southeast Melbourne Phoenix Team.

He wrote: "In the new season, it is still the familiar city of Melbourne, with the same goal of winning. I will continue to fight side by side with the Southeastern Melbourne Phoenix Team in Australia and strive for the top."

  Zhou Qi said that during the offseason, the sincerity and perseverance of the Phoenix team moved him again. The deep friendship established last season is still vivid, and he is looking forward to meeting Australian fans and friends again.

It is reported that Zhou Qi has renewed his contract with the team for one year this time, and he is expected to play in the game against the New Zealand Breakers on October 20.

  Last season, Zhou Qi played 23 games for the Southeast Melbourne Phoenix team, averaging 21.1 minutes per game, scoring 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists.

The Phoenix team had a regular-season record of 15 wins and 13 losses last season, ranking sixth in the league, and ultimately missed the NBL playoffs.

  This summer, Zhou Qi has been playing overseas with the Chinese men's basketball team, and he and the Xinjiang team have not been able to reach an agreement on a contract.

Previously, the Xinjiang team revoked Zhou Qi's CBA pre-registration qualification.
