Kostornaya was greeted by a crowd of fans

Last week, all the attention of figure skating fans, of course, was riveted to the test skates of the Russian team, which took place in the capital's Megasport.

Alena Kostornaya did not take part in them, as she recently underwent surgery due to a hip injury and is undergoing a process of recovery and rehabilitation.

But this did not stop her from coming to the Sports Palace to enjoy the performances of her colleagues.

Her visit did not go unnoticed by a large group of personal admirers.

The Kostornaia team met the skater in the lobby with unfurled banners on which the following phrases were written: “Alena, we are with you”, “We miss you!

Get well!

We're waiting on the ice."

Fans also gave her flowers and gifts.

The athlete was sincerely touched by such attention.

“Thank you for your incredible support.

She gives me strength and energy to keep going!

I look forward to our long-awaited meeting with you on the ice, ”Kostornaya wrote in her Telegram channel.

Earlier, the skater said that on September 27 she would begin rehabilitation procedures at the FMBA clinic.

“How long it will take, I don’t know yet.

But I already have some plans for the recovery period.

So far, I can only say that this is connected with a new field of activity, which is very interesting to me.

And she, of course, is connected with figure skating, ”TASS quotes the ex-European champion.

Meanwhile, not everyone believes in her ability to return to the previous level after the operation.

So, the 2012 vice-champion of the world Alena Leonova admitted that she does not estimate this probability very high.

“Because after such an injury it is very difficult to return, especially for a girl.

If she finds the strength in herself and feels that she can do better than she was, and confidently go to the start, then yes.

It will be very cool.

But if she does it just to try, I don't know.

In any case, you need to return or leave beautifully, ”said the former skater.

Shcherbakova went on the ice after the operation

Meanwhile, Anna Shcherbakova, who also underwent surgery, but a few weeks earlier than Kostornaya, had already returned to light activities.

On the social network, the skater posted a video showing how she makes “flashlights” in Khrustalny.

The same video appeared in the Tutberidze Team account.

“Welcome back to the ice!

Productive training and a speedy recovery, ”the caption says.

Probably, so far no serious loads are planned for the athlete.

Unlike Alena, Anna watched test skates at home in the company of her beloved cat named Mafia.

However, the presence of the Olympic champion was still felt in Megasport - a video with her participation was shown on a video cube during one of the breaks.

Trusova sells puppies

But Alexandra Trusova is known for her love of dogs.

The vice-champion of the Olympic Games has six pets, and she really does not like to part with them for a long time.

For the skater, it was a big test to be separated from her four-legged friends for a whole month - at the time of the Beijing Olympics.

The athlete usually takes dogs to training and competitions, and she also came with one of them, Lana, a dwarf poodle, to test skates at Megasport.

A couple of months ago, it was she who brought four puppies, and now the Queen of Quads has to deal not only with figure skating, but also with animals.

“I sell puppies.

That is, fans can apply, but I don’t know for sure, they are now two months old, I will give them away.

One is definitely picked up on Monday, maybe two.

And there were many other requests.

I won’t leave myself, six are enough for me, ”the Championship quotes Trusova.

Sinitsina and Katsalapov spoke about conflicts and work with Zhulin

Olympic champions in team competitions Nikita Katsalapov and Victoria Sinitsina gave a long interview to the Caravan of History magazine, in which they talked about their first steps in sports, working with different coaches, and also about their performances in Tatiana Navka's show.

The partner emphasized that she tried, like a sponge, to absorb all the information that various specialists gave her during her career.

“The experience of working with different people helped me a lot.

Mutual understanding should arise between the athlete and his mentor.

In principle, I had it with all my coaches, but with Alexander Zhulin we became a real team, which is why we managed to show such a high result and win an Olympic medal.

I feel comfortable with him, we discuss a lot, make decisions together.

It is very important here that both the athlete could convey his opinion, and the coach was able to hear him, ”said the skater.

The couple also shared a way out of conflict situations that inevitably arise during training.

“Sometimes we give free rein to our nerves, throw out our irritation, quarrel, but we make up very quickly.

We understand why conflicts happen.

We swear because of a long routine, because of mistakes, because of situations when we want to do better, but sometimes it doesn’t work out.

But in general, we always help each other, we are sympathetic to a bad mood, ”said Nikita.

He also emphasized that the patterns of behavior during disputes on the ice are no different from the steps taken by people in everyday life.

Victoria, in turn, noted that it is impossible "to be a robot in which all feelings are turned off."

“We are all emotional people, so you need to learn how to negotiate, talk to each other if something does not suit you.

Ahead is the goal that drives us and makes us strive forward.

Thanks to this, despite the arising nervous situations, we pull ourselves together and move on.

This is sport, ”admitted the vice-champion of the Olympics-2022.

Popova and Atakhanova spoke about the problem of eating disorders in sports

Recently, the media has often raised the topic of fighting overweight and eating disorders that arise in connection with this in figure skaters.

The first athlete who openly announced the problem was Yulia Lipnitskaya.

Some time ago, Stanislav Konstantinova told a similar story, and Elizaveta Nugumanova accused the coach of depriving her of classes on ice, citing her excess weight.

One of the girls who ended their career, including because of the RPP, was the bronze medalist of the final of the Junior Grand Prix series Amina Atakhanov.

According to her, the mentors told her about weight problems when she switched from single to pair skating at the age of 12.

So Atakhanova began to consider herself "fat", although now, after several years, I'm sure she had muscles that weigh a lot, but not "excess fat".

However, diets were used, which helped only up to a certain point, and then less healthy methods.

“I ran around wrapped in a film.

And at first we smeared ourselves with a burning gel for weight loss, wrapped ourselves in a film, put on several warm states on top and ran in a stuffy gym.

I couldn’t run for more than an hour, after all, a colossal load on my heart, ”said the 20-year-old girl.

At the same time, according to Atakhanova, losing weight at all costs was her personal desire - mentor Natalya Pavlova did not put pressure on her, and at some point even asked to gain weight.

But not all experts adhere to this line of behavior.

For example, Betina Popova believes that there are coaches who do not know how to find an approach to their wards at all, thus causing them psychological trauma.

“I remember myself, to what state they brought me, and what it has led to now - for me this is a shock.

Those people who did this to me should not be allowed near children.

Required to pass certification, something like that.

You have to work with trainers.

There are super-wise specialists who will never allow this in their headquarters.

And there are those who spit on these norms, if only how, ”Sport-Express quotes Popova.

She also noted that in recent years the situation has begun to improve, and there are more “sane people”, but not all the difficulties have been resolved yet.

“All the noise started with Lipnitskaya, it really was very strong at that time.

This problem was very acute.

When I skated, everyone around me was involved in this horror.

Very sad.

I am glad that these topics are being raised, coaching staffs are attracting nutritionists, nutritionists, and psychologists.

The situation is improving.

It's nice to see when the kids are in the hands of adequate people, ”concluded the former athlete.
