The European Super Cup is currently held in the form of a single match between the champions of the Champions League and the European League, to be held in a European stadium that is neutralized in advance.
But the proposed change will transfer the tournament to the United States, and allow the participation of 4 teams, namely the Champions League, the European League, the European Conference League, and the American League champion, to be a guest from outside the old continent on the tournament, meaning that the European Super Cup can be an American team. .
The Spanish newspaper “SPORT” described the new tournament that UEFA is preparing to launch as a “bomb”, and said that the European Union’s goal from these radical changes is to support its brand in the United States, as there are still many open markets and television broadcasting agreements that have been concluded. It was recently reached and will be a great addition to the resources of UEFA and the clubs participating in the proposed tournament.
Further discussions are scheduled to take place at the ECA General Assembly in Istanbul on Thursday and Friday, with UEFA and the ECA keen to foster a spirit of innovation to increase its financial resources.
