Russian world number four Daniil Medvedev lost his composure in the match against Stan Wawrinka at the ATP tournament in Metz, France. Down in the third set, he threw his racket, was booed, and responded by gesticulating wildly and long at the crowd. In the end, even Wawrinka, who was ready to serve, looked annoyed.
The match itself was won by the 37-year-old Wawrinka - with three grand slam titles to his credit - 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 and in the quarter-finals awaits Swedish Mikael Ymer, who in turn knocked out the home hope Gregoire Barrere in two straight sets .
