The Football Association and the Community Contributions Authority (together), signed a joint cooperation agreement, related to financial contributions in sports events and community participation, and the agreement was announced at a press conference held the day before yesterday in the capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Federation, and Salama Ajlan. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and joint coordination between the two parties, and to develop and support the strategic partnership between them, by cooperating in the field of sporting events and collecting social contributions that aim to serve target groups, and may be of a charitable nature for the public interest of society.

The agreement also provides for the collection of societal contributions through sporting events and the promotion of the concept of participation and social responsibility, and spending or directing them to solve community priorities, challenges and social needs.

The two parties agreed to launch social sporting events, the proceeds of which will be directed to support programs and initiatives aimed at serving the community in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, through the President's Cup matches and other competitions that are agreed upon and determined by the two parties.

According to the agreement, part of the proceeds from competitions and events organized by the Football Association will be allocated to the benefit of the Community Contributions Authority.
