She took advantage of the arrival of Austria at the Stade de France to do the same double blow: to remove the clouds above her head and to avoid a relegation which hung in her face in the League of Nations.
Didier Deschamps' men therefore found the field, the game, the cohesion even if they ran behind the efficiency for almost an hour.
By opening the scoring on a solitary raid in the 56th minute, Kylian Mbappé indeed materialized a big French domination from the first minutes.
In particular, there was the goal denied to the Parisian striker in the first minute for an offside position, but also plenty of chances (Mbappé 26th, 43rd), Tchouaméni 36th, Giroud 39th) during a first period almost one way.

A scenario far from being written in advance therefore because of the turmoil off the field, but also in view of numerous absences.

Two months before the World Cup, coach Didier Deschamps can be as worried about the injuries of Benzema, Kanté, or Pogba, as reassured by the successful integration of Fofana or the winning return of Olivier Giroud who scored the second goal of the Blues of the head after having been at the origin of the first.
The AC Milan player, who struggles with the substitute status when Benzema is there, has undoubtedly taken a big step in his rehabilitation with the Blues.
His complicity on the ground with Kylian Mbappé thus confirmed an agreement found outside.
France thus offers itself a breath of fresh air in group 1 of the League of Nations by going back to third place before challenging Denmark this Sunday, September 25.
It will probably be without Jules Koundé, released in the 21st minute, who added to the long list of injured.
