The Dakarna had an uphill battle after the first semi-final against the Lions ended 41-49.

After a fifth in heat three, they also took the lead, 10-8.

But then the Lions switched gears and led 35-25 after ten heats.

After the third heat, the Lions did not lose a single heat until the 15th and finally won clearly 53-37.

Notably, all seven Lejonen drivers took at least one heat win during the match.

Fifth final in six years

If it was uphill for Dackarna before semifinal two, it was both uphill and headwind for Rospiggarna.

55-35 in favor for the Smiths meant a disadvantage for the Rospiggars with 20 points that needed to be picked up for a final place.

Just like the Lions, the Blacksmiths had a desirable start to the match and led 35-25 after ten heats.

After the break, Rospiggarna started to pick up points, but the gap was so big that the Blacksmiths could still quite comfortably make it to the final after winning 47-43.

This is now the fifth time in six years that the Blacksmiths have reached the final.

From 2017 to 2019, the Eskilstuna team won three SM golds.
