Since Glenn Solberg took over as the national team captain for the Swedish men's national team in 2020, the Swedish national team has won both silver at the WC and gold at the EC.

But that without superstar Andreas "Stycket" Nilsson - who has not played an international match since January 5, 2020.

When the squad for the EHF Euro cup was presented, it was clear that Nilsson is still on the sidelines and thus misses the meetings against Germany and Denmark in October.

- It has gone well for the national team, so I really can't say anything.

Apparently they are doing something right.

But I think it's boring, because I feel that I'm good enough that I can play in the national team, says Nilsson and means that he still dreams of playing with the national team again.

- My door is open.

It's wide open and it will be until I feel like I can't place anymore.

There will be a home World Cup in January - how would you like to be there?

- I've been able to participate in a championship at home anyway, so it's clear that I want to play in the WC.

Especially when Sweden is top tipped.

We were never during my time in the national team.

It is clear that everyone who plays handball would have liked to play a WC where you are favourites.
