He has long been considered one of the world's best players - and now Nathan MacKinnon is getting paid accordingly.
On Tuesday, he signed a new contract with the Colorado Avalanche club, to which he belonged throughout his professional career.
The contract runs through the 2030/2031 season and the annual salary is $12.6 million, $100,000 more than Edmonton Oilers megastar Connor McDavid.
