Since before, Swedish tennis player Mikael Ymer is ready for the long-standing tournament which will be played in the Royal Tennis Hall from 15-23 October.
Now the tournament has managed to attract two world stars to Stockholm.
For Britain's best player, Cameron Norrie, this year's Stockholm Open will be his first.
Norrie is currently ranked eighth in the world and has won a total of four titles, the biggest of which came from the Indian Wells Masters tournament last year.
- I am very happy that Cameron Norrie and Frances Tiafoe are coming to the Stockholm Open.
Norrie has had another fantastic season this year and has really established himself within the top 10 in the world ranking.
He is now at his best ranking in his career as number EIGHT and has great opportunities to qualify for the ATP playoffs, says Enqvist.
“One of the most popular players on tour”
Frances Tiafoe has this year advanced to 19th place in the world ranking, his highest ranking so far in his career.
In the US Open, he knocked out Rafael Nadal and pushed this year's winner Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals.
- Frances Tiafoe is one of the most popular players on the tour.
With her powerful playing style and incredibly charming personality, Frances has become a crowd favorite all over the world.
Not least recently in the US Open where he knocked out Nadal and was part of an unforgettable five-setter against eventual winner Alcaraz in the semi-finals, says Thomas Enqvist.
The announcement comes at the same time that world number five Alexander Zverev withdraws from the tournament due to a foot injury.
The Stockholm Open is broadcast on SVT's channels and SVT Play.
