Sam Hallam had been in Växjö for ten years and during that time won three SM golds.

Now he has taken over Tre Kronor and then they brought in Jörgen Jönsson instead, who most recently came from a role as assistant coach in Davos, Switzerland.

Jönsson prefers that people look forward and not compare him to the glory days that have been.

- I don't see it as competing with Sam.

The Växjö Lakers will continue into a fine successful period.

I will be a part of it there, he says.

"Played a good defensive game"

He still knows what he wants to change game-wise.

- I think you have played good defensive games in the past, there I have only changed small things.

In the offensive, I have tried to implement some quick changes.

It takes a little time sometimes, but we have taken steps in the right direction, he says.

"Don't get stressed"

It is the first time Jönsson has the main responsibility since he led Forshaga IF in the hockey league in the 2015-2016 season.

- I think maybe the challenges lie in being humble in the face of the fact that you can't do everything.

Not to get stressed when everything doesn't go as planned, because there will be days like that.

Then you need a good leadership team around you.

It feels great so far.
