The NBA launches a fan zone in conjunction with its first match in Abu Dhabi

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi today announced the launch of the NBA Fan Zone, an interactive event for basketball fans, at Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.


The event will be held from October 5 to 9, coinciding with the start of the Abu Dhabi 2022 NBA League matches.

The NBA Games Abu Dhabi 2022 event includes two pre-season matches between the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks, at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on October 6 and 8, for the first time in the UAE and the Gulf region.

The "NBA Fan Zone" will display a diverse mix of music, arts and media related to the culture of the association, providing those wishing to attend the matches and visitors an exceptional experience, and the audience will have the opportunity to communicate with the most prominent NBA players from all over the world, and follow up on the association's entertainment offerings.

The program includes performances by the Milwaukee Bucks and the team's famous "Banjo" character, and others by the Atlanta Hawks dance team and "Harry the Hawk", which is famous for the team.


It also includes live artistic performances by UAE-based artist Mr. Dribing and Billy Kidd, Creative Director of the NBA Lab, panel discussions, workshops, and many activities.
