Why did Liverpool coach Klopp mock the owner of Chelsea?

German coach Jurgen Klopp mocked Liverpool's new owner's proposal to hold the All-Star game in the English Premier League, similar to what happens in American sports, wondering whether there would be a participation for the famous "Harlem Globetrotters" basketball team.

Todd Boehle, one of the owners of the London club, who also owns stakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball teams and the Los Angeles Lakers basketball in the United States, said at a conference in New York that he raised the idea with his counterparts in the Premier League.

The All-Star game is held in both the NBA and Major League Baseball and features the best players from different teams.

Buhle said the money raised could be donated to fund lower-tier teams. "People are talking about more money for the pyramid. In this year's Major League Baseball All-Star Game we raised $200m (£173m) from Monday and Tuesday."

He continued, "Therefore, we are thinking of holding the All-Star match between the North and the South in the English Premier League," noting that in the American Basketball League it is between the eastern and western regions, or a particular star team against another.

However, Klopp was quick to criticize Boehle's suggestion, pointing to the already busy schedule in English football.

"When he finds a date for the match, let him call me," the German said.

"In American sports, players get four months of rest.

Does he want the Harlem Globetrotters too?”

"Maybe he can explain it," he said.

I don't think people want to see that - (Manchester) United, Liverpool, City, Everton together.

This is not the national team.

Did he really suggest it?”
