While Sweden is preparing for new Nations League matches, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is trying to come back from injury.

After a knee operation, the Swede is expected to be out of action for at least the rest of the year, but his career will continue for a while, the soon-to-be 41-year-old striker promises.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, which Expressen has taken part in, Ibrahimovic does not say when he expects to be back, only that he will be back.

"Getting Brutal"

- You will surely notice it.

When I come back it will be seen and heard, you can count on that.

It will be brutal, says Ibrahimovic.

Despite injury problems, Zlatan Ibrahimovic led his Milan to the league title, "lo scudetto", in Italy last season.

He accounted for eight goals in 23 games and last year also made a comeback in the national team.

Extended contract

When he was forced to have knee surgery in May, speculation about a career ending gained new momentum, but in July Ibrahimovic extended his contract with Milan by one year.

And yet he has no intention of stopping.

- If I see a player who is better than me, I quit.

But I haven't seen such a player yet.

We are stronger as a group compared to last season.

We have a better team overall.

After the "scudetto" we had a good summer window which has strengthened us.

Now we have more options on the bench, says Ibrahimovic about the new season.
