In recent seasons, filming has increased in Swedish ice hockey.

Something that led to the SHL's referee manager Tomas Thorsbrink visiting all the clubs ahead of this season and talking about filming and reinforcements.

SVT's hockey expert Jonas Andersson agrees that it is a problem that risks getting bigger if nothing is done about it.

- I think it's a problem because it's almost completely impossible for the judges to see and you can create sporting success by filming, says Andersson, who wants to give the judges more aids.

- Personally, I would like to see the referee have an opportunity to check the video during the match, because it is required.

You have it on certain other measures, and then harsher punishments so you get punished there and then, and then fines of course.

Then it is important that we talk about it in the media so that it is highlighted and does not become socially accepted with filming in hockey.

He also wants to emphasize that it is far from all the players who have started filming.

- This is not a general problem, it is a few players who are responsible for the vast majority of the filming and the judges have a solid grasp of who it is, the fellow and opposing players know who it is, so it is not that it is a consistent problem in ice hockey, but it affects many, says Andersson.
