Peskov spoke about the change of sports citizenship by Russian athletes

According to Peskov, his wife, figure skater Tatyana Navka, "was Ukrainian, then a citizen of Belarus, and then she lived half her life in the United States, because the collapsing Soviet Union could not give her the opportunity to compete."

“And she is grateful to America for that.

And then she became a citizen of the Russian Federation, ”concluded Peskov.

The Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) announced that they would consider seven requests from athletes to transfer to the national teams of other countries.

Since the beginning of the year, the federation has received 19 requests to change sports citizenship.

Earlier it was reported that the world champion in figure skating Maria Butyrskaya believes that the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) in this situation is doing everything for athletes to improve conditions for them.
