Linus Lundqvist can this weekend become the first Swede to win the Indy Lights championship, a subclass to the prestigious Indycar.

Lundqvist more or less already has the laurel wreath around his neck, as he has a 103-point lead over the only challenger, the Australian Matthew Brabham, ahead of the season's final two races at Laguna Seca in California.

And there are still 108 points to overtake.

- It is very well done.

He has put himself in a fantastic situation and should win this, he will do that with that lead, says SVT expert Robert Dahlgren.

Lundqvist is at the biggest moment of his career so far.

- How important is it that he wins?

It is fundamentally important, I would say.

He has done great, and the most important thing for him is what it brings him in the future.

He is not leaving his future to chance, and has put himself in a very good position for his career.

It's super fun, says Robert Dahlgren.

Dahlgren believes that Lundqvist will make the step up to Indycar for next season.

- I believe and hope that we will see him in Indycar.

I don't hope he stays in Indy Lights.

He's done there.

He would need the lighter fluid with Indycar and make a name for himself in American racing.

In which stable he would end up depends entirely on the network he has managed to build up.

But it is important to end up under the right conditions, where they believe in him, he says.

How big a promise is Linus Lundqvist?

- I have thought about it.

And I don't really know.

He is very difficult to judge.

He has always been extremely fast, and always able to adapt to new cars.

I believe and hope that he really gets the chance to show how good he is against the absolute best, says Robert Dahlgren.

"I think the chance slipped away for Ericsson"

On the same racing track as Lundqvist, the Swedish racing stars Marcus Ericsson and Felix Rosenqvist finish the season in Indycar.

Ericsson, winner of this year's Indy 500, still has a chance to win the championship.

But expert Dahlgren does not think that will be the case.

- I think that chance slipped away a while ago.

There are three hugely experienced drivers in front of him.

And if you want to be crass, they need to fail completely and Marcus to get a full jackpot.

It could happen, but the probability is small.

I think Will Power will take home the championship, and I think Marcus will get on the podium, says Robert Dahlgren.

Ericsson lost his lead in the championship, and before the final race he has 39 points up on leader Will Power.

Ericsson is fourth on 484 points.

- He probably drove like a championship leader a little too early.

A little too safe and perhaps with more focus on the point in the subconscious.

In addition, the qualifiers have been haunted.

Felix Rosenqvist is tenth overall, and has the chance to reach the top eight where only two points separate.
