On Tuesday, Åge Hareide was rehired as Malmö FF's new head coach.

The now 68-year-old Norwegian led MFF to a SM gold and two group games in the Champions League between 2014 and 2015.

One who was also there then is Isaac Kiese Thelin, who is happy to say the least to be reunited with his old coach.

- It feels like you are back eight years in time again.

He comes back like nothing happened and takes over the show.

He is a great leader, he says at the press conference before the match.

Said he can quit his pension

Already last week, Kiese Thelin joked in an interview with Sportbladet that Åge Hareide would make a comeback at the club, which thus became a reality.

- I did an interview this week where I was asked a question about a new coach and I said that he can jump out of retirement and come here.

Now he's here, it feels great and something we need, says Isaac Kiese Thelin and laughs.

Thelin was signed in the summer of 2014 from IFK Norrköping after going goalless in his first twelve games.

- He meant a lot.

He helped bring me here and believed in me, when not many others believed in me.

Gave me the chance and the confidence here, which allowed me to then come out to Europe and get that career, says Kiese Thelin.

"Not so important how it goes against Braga"

Hareide is thrown into the hot air immediately when Malmö tonight plays its first match in the group stage of the Europa League against Braga.

- There is a tension in the body and it is a good feeling.

As a pensioner, you don't get that more than maybe the idea of how big a fish you're going to catch, he says, smiling at the press conference before the match.

However, he plays down the significance of the match.

- After all, it is not so important how it goes against Braga more than that we put in a good performance and get the team going.

The match against Norrköping on Sunday is much more important, to take that third place in the Allsvenskan, so that the club will be in Europe next year as well.
