They will watch their teammates on TV between two Bristol sheets.

Thursday evening, Stade Rennais coach Bruno Genesio will be deprived of three of his minots for the first match of the Europa League in Larnaca, on the island of Cyprus.

The reason ?

His three young players must pass their baccalaureate exams.

The blaster Désiré Doué, excellent since the start of the season, the recovery Lesley Ugochukwu and the defender Jeanuël Bélocian will therefore be deprived of the trip.

When they should have passed these tests in May, Ugochukwu (18) was held back by a match with the pro team while Doué and Bélocian were busy winning the Euro U17 in the tricolor jersey.

“It's very important to have a balance between studies/football/family.

There was no question of making them miss the tests, ”said Bruno Genesio.

The coach however deplored “a lack of flexibility”.

The Rennes coach would have liked to count on a larger squad for the first match of his European campaign.

Deprived of Amine Gouiri, suspended, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Jérémy Doku, Bruno Genesio will not be very rich on the offensive level.

After this trip to Larnaca, Rennes will receive Fenerbahçe before facing Dynamo kyiv.
