As expected, the honor of the first overall pick in the women's volleyball rookie draft for the 2022-2023 season was Mongolia's tallest center, Er-Hung.

In the women's volleyball rookie draft held yesterday (the 5th), Manager Kim Hyung-sil of Pepper Savings Bank, who had the first overall pick, called Er-Hung's name first.

When her own name was called, Er Hung jumped up and went up to the podium.

He smiled brightly after receiving a bouquet of flowers in a red jumper from Pepper Savings Bank that director Kim Hyung-sil handed over.

Er-Hung's mother who visited her site was moved by emotion.

It was literally the moment when the 'Korean Dream' came true.

It is the first time in history that a foreign national has been selected as the first overall pick in the professional volleyball rookie draft.

After the event was over, all the spotlights fell on Er-Hung.

Er-Hung said, "I'm very nervous right now. My parents really like it. I thought about whether or not to cry after being nominated, but I thought I wouldn't be able to cry, so I put up with it. .

Er-Hung started playing volleyball at a club in Mongolia 5 years ago.

Although his parents were basketball players, he chose volleyball because he didn't like 'body fights'.

While he was falling for the charm of volleyball, Er Hung saw a video of 'Kim Yeon-kyung's match' on the Internet.

The appearance of Kim Yeon-kyung, who is full of skills as well as charisma, made her decision to become a professional volleyball player.

And he made a 'bomb declaration' to his parents that he would go to Korea to study volleyball.

Er Hung's mother, who loved Korean volleyball, initially opposed her study abroad, but she could not stop her decision.

Er-Hung, who was looking for study abroad in Korea through an agency, entered the Mokpo Women's Award in 2019.

Mokpo Yeosang and coach Jeong Jin allowed him to join the volleyball team after seeing Er-hung's physical condition, which boasts a height of over 190 cm.

He didn't speak Korean at all, but that didn't stop his enthusiasm for volleyball.

From his freshman year, Er-Hung's presence became known to the volleyball world, and interest was poured out.

However, he was in a situation where he had to be naturalized to play in the domestic V-League.

The naturalization stage consists of the first written test and the second interview, but for Er-Hung, who is not yet familiar with Korean, it was not easy from the first written test.

At this time, the family of Hye-sun Yeom, senior Mokpo Ladies and National Team Center, suggested 'adoption' to Er-Hung.

Adoption makes naturalization easier because the first written test is exempted.

Er-Hung's parents were initially against the adoption.

However, her daughter's passion for volleyball and the sincerity of Hyesun Yeom's family showed her adoption.

In August of last year, Er-Hung said '

Er-Hung grew up day by day learning the basics of volleyball at the Mokpo Women's Awards.

Her high RBI offense and blocking in the longest scene in history at 195 cm was a talent that any club would covet.

The first place nomination seemed natural.

However, Er-Hung did not let go of the tension until the very end.

Er-Hung, who I met in Mokpo on the 2nd, said, "There are only three days left in the draft, and I'm so nervous. I think I'll cry when my name is called first. I think I'll remember the hard times I've endured so far."

As Pepper Savings Bank, which has priority designation, nominated Er-Hung as the first overall priority, Er-Hung became a member of professional volleyball.

However, he must pass the aforementioned naturalization test in order to step on the court.

Er-Hung, who was eliminated in one interview, plans to focus on preparing for the interview for the time being.

"The history class is coming up in the interview, and it's really difficult. I have to memorize everything and there's a lot to do. But I'll work harder. I want to pass the interview quickly and stand on the court."

Er-Hung did not forget to say thank you.

"Thanks to the teachers at school, school, and friends from the volleyball club, I think I've survived this far. I think I'm standing here thanks to Hye-sun, my Korean father, and my mother who have helped me a lot. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart." I nodded.

First-year juniors from Mongolia are sweating profusely at the Mokpo Women's Award to become a 'second rookie'.

Er-Hung also delivered a message to younger players who, like himself, are striving to achieve the 'Korean Dream'.

"I'm from Mongolia and from abroad. At first, I thought, 'It's going to be really hard.' But after doing it so far, I want to tell my

juniors,

'You can do this

.' I want to convey the saying, ‘Dreams have to come true.’ I want my juniors to work hard.”
