In the final period between Turkey and the host nation Georgia, a brawl broke out.

Furkan Korkmaz and Georgian Duda Sanadze got into a big fight - which then led to both of them being expelled.

According to the Turkish national team, Korkmaz is said to have then been attacked in the players' tunnel.

- Georgian players who were not in the match and the expelled player Duda Sanadze attacked him together with the security guards, says the vice president of the Turkish federation Ömer Onan according to Eurohoops.

Onan now has a demand.

He wants the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) to remove the surveillance footage from the players' tunnel.

If it is not done, he believes that Turkey will leave the EC.

Claims match time disappeared

Hakan Demir, assistant national team captain in Turkey, on the events:

- We came here to play basketball, not box.

That is why we are very upset about the lack of security we are experiencing today, he says.

The Turkish national team is also upset that, according to them, time has disappeared from the match clock.

- The match was 22 seconds shorter.

That it was not just one or two seconds but 22 makes us believe that the situation was not just a mistake, says assistant coach Hakan Demir according to Eurohoops.

The match was won by Georgia with 88-83.
