After a mediocre start to the season, it seems that AIK's Nicolas Stefanelli has started to find his way.

A goal against IFK Norrköping was followed by another in the derby against Hammarby and this afternoon he made sure to secure three points against a struggling Gif Sundsvall.

It started with him getting hold of a rebound at the end of the first half which he sent into the roof of the net without pardon.

Ten minutes into the second half, he then played to make it 2–0.

This time, however, it was Sotirios Papagiannopoulos who did most and the best of the groundwork, although Stefanelli's diagonal pass to Nabil Bahoui at the far post was really nice.

And with ten minutes left to play, he put the nail in the Gif coffin after weaving his way through Sundsvall's defense and scoring 3-0.

The loss was Sundsvall's eighth in a row in the Allsvenskan and now good advice is starting to get really expensive for the bottom gang.

However, they can take the first half against AIK with them and build on it as they were by no means harmless during the first half of the match.

- We will thank Kristoffer Nordfeldt who makes two fantastic saves in the first half, with a bit of bad luck we could have been 2-0 down at half-time, says Sotirios Papagiannopoulos to Discovery+.

AIK is now six points up on league leader Häcken, who dropped points at home against Degerfors today.

- We just try to take it match by match and concentrate on ourselves, then we'll see how far it goes, says Papagiannopoulos.
