As expected, it was double Swedish at the top of the discus competition in Finnkampen.

Daniel Ståhl's throw of 65.34 was enough for victory.

When asked what the win means, Ståhl answers:

- It is historic.

It's fun to win.

It's bad results I'm doing, but we had as a goal to bring home serious points to Sweden and we succeeded in that, says the 30-year-old.

Pettersson: "Not a good result"

He won ahead of Simon Pettersson who was second with his throw of 63.76.

- It's not a good result, but I took the point and that was the most important thing, says Pettersson.

Together, they scored twelve points for Sweden - who won the discus competition with 13-9.

Montler won

Another Swedish star who coped with the favorite pressure on Saturday was Thobias Montler.

He won the long jump with his jump of 7.75.

- It's not a result I think about much.

It was just about the win today, says Montler.

Finland won the men's cross-country event 12–10.
