Tens of millions of deals are settled by European teams in the summer transfer market, which ends on August 31 of each year, including successful deals and others that disappointed the fans.

It seems that Chelsea is the team that is trying to resolve more than one deal on the last day of the current Mercato.

The transfer of French central defender Wesley Fofana was settled for 75 million euros, and the Gabonese deal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Barcelona star, is still pending after the player suffered a broken jaw after the robbery of his house.

And the French international deal became the highest in the history of the last day of the summer Mercato.

  • Brazilian Willian, from Shakhtar Donetsk, Ukraine, to Russian team Anzhi Makhachkala (2011): 30 million euros.

  • German Andre Schuerrle, from Chelsea to Wolfsburg (2015): 27 million euros.

  • Colombian Juan Cuadrado, Fiorentina to Chelsea (2015): 26 million euros.

  • Brazilian Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain to Tottenham (2018): 24 million euros.

  • Uruguayan Luis Suarez from Ajax to Liverpool (2011): 23 million euros.

  • Brazilian David Luiz from Benfica to Chelsea (2011): 21 million euros.
