Fiorentina had created a three-goal lead with three fairly easy goals already after the first half.

At that point, Kosovare Asllani had not been allowed to break free in any really dangerous attack, but at most had to take a free kick.

But in the second half it would loosen up.

Asllani started the attack, passed the ball to a teammate on the right, then recovered it in the Fiorentina penalty area.

The Swede's shot was then unstoppable for Katia Schroffenegger and Asllani had thus not only reduced Milan's lead, but also scored both his and the team's first league goal of the season.

However, the match ended 3–1 to Fiorentina.
