The players of Funabashi Municipal High School, representing Chiba Prefecture, who participated in the summer national high school baseball game for the first time in 15 years, visited the local city hall and reported that they played with all their might.

Municipal Funabashi High School lost in the second round, but in the first round, they overturned the five-point lead and won the walk-off.

In addition, the cheering song "Ichifune soul", composed by a former brass band member who passed away five years ago at the young age of 20, and played at chance, also attracted attention.

On the 25th, 15 third-year baseball club members visited the local Funabashi City Hall and reported the results to Mayor Matsudo.

Captain Eitaro Miya said, "It was encouraging to see the Alps stand dyed in green, the school color. I was only able to sing the school song once, but I gave it my all and I have no regrets."

Also, regarding "Ichifune soul", the players said, "When the song is played, I feel my energy."

Ace pitcher Tessei Morimoto said, "It was a great experience for me to be able to play on the Koshien stage. I want to do my best to become a professional in the future."
