According to NRK, there is a Norwegian law that states that athletes between the ages of 15 and 18 may not be tested for doping without parental permission.

Something that has led to no underage athlete in the country being tested unannounced in the past two years.

And the international anti-doping organization Wada doesn't like that.

- We may lose the right to participate in the Olympics, Paralympics or other championships.

Or lose the right to arrange championships yourself, says Nils Einar Aas, secretary general of the Norwegian Sports Confederation to NRK.

The concern among the various sports associations in Norway is great.

- We can't have it this way.

The parties must sit down and find a solution, this will not help anyone, says Norwegian handball president Kåre Geir Lio to NRK.

- For Norwegian football and Norwegian sports it will be dramatic if we lose the right to organize international sporting events on home ground, says the Norwegian football chairman Lise Klaveness to NRK.

According to NRK, the Ministry of Culture and Equality in Norway is currently looking into whether it is possible to change or clarify the law, in order to avoid sanctions against Norwegian sports.
