The head of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, confirmed that their bet is high on the club's volleyball team returning to the front, competing and winning titles in the new season that begins next month, pointing out that the team has prepared well during the current preparations by participating in the international tournament organized by the club and concluded on Sunday. last, and Al Ain came in third place.

Al Kaabi told "Emirates Today" that the Al Ain volleyball team will be one of the teams competing for titles.

He added, "We hope many of them will achieve the ambitions set before them, and we also hope the success of the rest of our teams in handball and other games."

The Al-Ain team, whose ranks were strengthened by the return of its veteran leader, Muhammad Shamil, from Al-Ahly youth, won third place in the international friendly tournament, and Al-Zaeem played five matches, winning three of them, and losing in two meetings against the Saudi team and Zamalek of Egypt.

Al-Kaabi expressed his hope that the volleyball team would benefit from the tournament, and said, "We hope that it will be the best preparation for him, and that it will reflect positively on his participation in the new season."

Commenting on the great momentum of the championship and its success in attracting teams participating for the first time in the UAE, such as the Algerian Rising Generation team, Al Kaabi said: "It was a successful tournament and we thank all the teams that participated, and we look forward to holding it annually."

On whether there is a desire to hold similar tournaments in the rest of the games, Al-Kaabi confirmed that there will be consultations in the coming days in order to discuss the possibility of organizing a handball tournament to be organized next month.

The Al Ain volleyball team will launch the new season on the third of next September with the Vice President’s Cup, in which nine clubs participate, and the competition concludes on October 15, 2022, while its journey in the league begins on November 15, 2022, and continues until April 5, 2023, with the participation of In the Super Cup from April 8 to 23, 2023, while the curtain falls on its season in the President's Cup, which was decided to be held from April 29, 2023 to May 24, 2023, with a knockout system.
