After three individual WC medals and two Olympic medals, Stina Nilsson changed cross-country skiing to biathlon, something SVT Sport was the first to report on.

Now she talks about how she experienced the pressure from outside.

- I have had quite high demands from those around me since the day I changed.

Those expectations have been completely unreasonable in relation to the development I've had, she tells SVT Sport.

This winter, the WC will be decided in German Oberhof, which could be Nilsson's first international championship as a biathlete.

- I'm not looking so much towards the WC because I don't feel that I'm in the position to do it.

My focus will be to go to the World Cup and give myself the conditions to be able to do as well as I want.

"Mostly been others who thought and thought"

Has it been difficult with the press?

- It has been important for me to be clear about myself, what I want and why I do things.

Had it not been a challenge for me to switch to biathlon, I don't even think I would have done it, says Nilsson.

- I want it to be a little difficult and encounter obstacles that I can overcome without any problems.

Since then, it has been very important to surround yourself with people who know the sport.
