Former Japan national soccer player Shinji Okazaki (36) will join Sint-Truiden in Belgium's first division league.

This was announced by Sint-Truiden on the 19th.

After moving to an overseas league, Okazaki was active in teams such as Leicester in the English Premier League, and played for Cartagena in the second division of Spain last season.

He has scored 50 goals, the third highest in the history of the Japanese national team.

Okazaki said, "I'm happy to be a member of the club. When I participated in the practice, I felt the atmosphere of the club and the atmosphere of the stadium and fell in love with it. I'm happy to be playing at a club that needs me," he said.

Many Japanese players such as Shinji Kagawa and Daichi Hayashi have played in Sint-Truiden, and Okazaki will be the fifth.
