Rosengård's last loss in the women's league came last season in the away game against Häcken on October 2.

This season they had 12 wins and three draws in the opening 15 games.

But right when the women's league restarted for the team from Scania, which last played two months ago, the first loss of the season came.

Piteå took the lead early in the first half through Katrina Guillou before Rebecca Knaak equalised.

In the 70th minute of the match, Josefin Johansson made it 2–1 after a well-directed free kick from the left.

The victory means Piteå's first ever victory against Rosengård.

Missing in Rosengård's squad was star Jelena Cankovic, who was rumored to be leaving the club to play in Chelsea.

On the other hand, it was pleasing for Rosengård that right-back Jessica Wik was back in action after being away for over a year due to pregnancy.
