It was between the third and fourth turn of the shakedown that the Hyundai mechanics replaced the gearbox in Solberg's car.
The idea was that the Swede would only drive through the fourth turn to tune the gearbox - but instead he recorded a really strong time.
3.45.7 was enough to place third overall during the full-speed test, just beaten by Kalle Rovanperä, Toyota, and team-mate Thierry Neuville.
- It felt perfectly fine, says Solberg.
