After further speculation about the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, the football star has again accused some media on Instagram of lying.

"I have a notebook and over the past few months out of 100 messages that have been made only 5 have been true, imagine how things are," the 37-year-old wrote on the social media platform.

"The media only tells lies," he said angrily.

The Manchester United attacker posted his comment under a post on a Ronaldo fan page.

After Manchester United's botched start to the season, coach Erik ten Hag is said to be ready to sell Ronaldo in this transfer window.

According to Sky, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea should be interested.

Other alleged interested parties could follow soon.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported on Tuesday that Ronaldo and Borussia Dortmund were in contact, but did not give a source for this claim.

In his commentary, the forward announced that he would be giving an interview in a few weeks.

Then everyone would know the truth, he said.

Already at the end of July, the Portuguese was annoyed in an online comment about the speculation of some parts of the press and accused them of spreading untruths about him.

The multiple world footballer recently disappointed on the pitch, as did his entire team.

After two defeats – first a 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion and then an embarrassing 4-0 loss to newly promoted FC Brentford – Manchester United are currently bottom of the English Premier League table.

The commitment of the new coach ten Hag, which was associated with many hopes and with whom Ronaldo recently did not even high five, has not yet proved to be a decisive piece of the puzzle for the turnaround.

After a disappointing previous season, in which the former top European team finished sixth and thus clearly missed out on participation in the Champions League, those responsible in Manchester had now looked forward to a much more successful season.

Next Monday (8.45 p.m. on Sky) United will meet Liverpool FC with German coach Jürgen Klopp.

Liverpool also didn't start the season as hoped with two draws, even if Klopp recently said that his Reds' false start didn't really worry him.
