The Junior Mixed Martial Arts World Cup will start in Abu Dhabi tomorrow, with the participation of 500 players

The curtain will be lifted tomorrow on the activities of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship for juniors, which will be hosted in Abu Dhabi until the 20th of this month at the "Jujitsu Arena" in Zayed Sports City.

The activities of this edition will witness the participation of about 500 players representing 42 countries, and the participation of the Emirati junior team for the first time in its history, with the presence of 30 players in addition to 7 coaches.

The final arrangements for the start of the competitions began today, after the arrival of the delegations participating in the tournament yesterday, where the stage of registering the teams and the draw ceremony for the tournament was held today to distribute the competitors to their categories and their fights in this special edition, which is held under the umbrella of the International Federation of the game and in cooperation with the Emirates Federation of Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts mixed.

The participating teams completed the registration process and received the identification cards for the championship, then the UAE national team champions went to their daily training and preparations, to reach the required technical readiness before entering the competitions.

Mohammed bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Board Member of the Emirates Federation of Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts and Chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee, was keen to meet with the players and send a message of encouragement and support to them upon completion of the balance stage.

The organizing committee of the championship announced the schedule of competitions scheduled over the four days of the championship, which begins tomorrow with the competitions for the junior category C (12-13 years).


Today, the president of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Careth Brown, also arrived in Abu Dhabi to attend the tournament.

Brown was keen to visit the tournament headquarters and see the readiness of all the committees within the framework of the continuous coordination between the International Federation and the Organizing Committee.

Brown stressed that the efforts made to make the event a success are clear, expressing his great confidence in Abu Dhabi's ability to produce the tournament at the best organizational level, after it recorded multiple successes over the past years in terms of perfect organization and large crowd attendance.
