On the 14th, the final of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, the pinnacle of women's golf amateurs, was held, and 17-year-old high school student Saki Baba won the championship.
This is the second time in 37 years that a Japanese player has won the tournament, following Michiko Hattori in 1985.
