When the gold was secured after another flawless ride, Henrik von Eckermann threw his hat in euphoria.

For SVT Sport, he talks about his feelings.

- It probably hit a nerve, there were so many emotions that you always keep inside and try to control.

When I crossed the finish line, I didn't know where to go, so the helmet flew, says von Eckermann.

"Everyone who plays this sport..."

What makes the success extra special is that the 41-year-old was flawless right through the entire championship, just as he was during the Olympics in Tokyo.

- Everyone who plays this sport knows how difficult it is.

There are huge obstacles and many rounds.

Even with the best horse in the world, it is enormously difficult.

Now he can also call himself an individual world champion.

What does it mean to leave with two golds?

- The team was great, but I have to say that the individual is something special, I have never won individual gold before.

Getting to make it to the WC which for me is the biggest thing, where you have to be so good every day, from the first day to the last.

It means an incredible amount to me.
