The Damallsvenskan's two weakest teams clashed in Umeå on Sunday.

Umeå with its nine straight losses against Kalmar who cod six in a row.

In other words, it was set up for a draw - and it was.

Umeå started the match best and also took the lead in the 17th minute after a tangled situation in connection with a corner.

Last on the ball: Vilma Koivisto.

First goal since May 29

However, Kalmar was far from harmless and with just over a quarter of an hour left to play, it was tied after Amanda Persson's corner found the forehead of Alyssa Walker, or if it was the other way around, it was a goal in any case.

Kalmar's first since May 29, when the same Walker scored 1–0 against Hammarby.

Since then, well over nine hours of playing time had passed without a Kalmar goal.

- To be honest, I don't think I was last on the ball, it was a team effort, somehow we managed to get the ball in but I don't know who did it, says Walker whose header may have hit someone in the penalty area before the ball found the back of the net.

Giant rescue after blunder

It was Umeå that was the closest to the three points since Kalmar's goalkeeper Aubrei Corder tried a fine shot in his own penalty area that was anything but graceful.

However, the 24-year-old managed to sort out the situation with a great save on Henna Honkanen's finish against the more or less open goal.

Umeå really missed

But despite the score, Walker was not completely satisfied with the score and the broken suites.

- I'm a little disappointed with the score, I think we should have been able to score another goal and win the game, but we were a little unlucky, says Walker.
