Municipal Funabashi High School participated in the summer Koshien for the first time in 15 years.

On the 13th, although they lost in the second round and did not advance to the third round, the third-year twins led the team.

Tetsuta Morimoto, the center brother who plays a central role in the batting lineup, and Tetsusei Morimoto, the younger brother who is the ace pitcher.

Two people from Tottori prefecture.

Both of them started playing baseball in the third grade of elementary school, and went to Funabashi City together, saying, "Let's go to Koshien together."

Then came the last summer.

Finally, I stepped on the soil of Koshien.

In the first round, his older brother Tetsuta hit a timely hit, and his younger brother Tetsuboshi, who came up to the mound in the middle of the third inning, pitched well and kept a clean sheet, leading to a walk-off win in the 9th inning.

And the second round on the 13th, against Tsuruga Kehi High School in Fukui.

My younger brother, Tetsuboshi, was entrusted with the mound from the 5th inning with a 2-point lead.

However, he said, "I knew it was being researched, but I couldn't surpass it."

Older brother Tetsuta, who was watching his younger brother from the center position, showed his determination in the 9th inning when he was chasing 5 runs.

With Ichiritsu Funabashi's cheering song "Ichifune soul," which is said to "open up opportunities when played," Tetsuta entered the turn at bat with a chance of a no-out second base and third base.

"Anyway, I thought I'd connect to the back," he hit the second straight, hitting the center in a timely two-base hit.

The team was one step behind and lost, but after the match, my brother Tetsuta.

“I think my younger brother couldn’t throw as well as he expected,

partly because the opponent was a strong team, but he threw like an ace until the end. It's been a lifetime treasure," said

one of his younger brothers, the pitcher Tetsuboshi.

"I'm glad that my brother hit a hit

in the 9th inning. We've been playing baseball together since we were in elementary school, and I think we were always the closest and a good rival to compete with."

The twin brothers who led the team in Koshien left Koshien with an irreplaceable experience.
