The 200-meter freestyle, the morning's distance for Åstedt, has been a tough race this season, she notes.

In the attempt on Saturday, Åstedt finished last in his heat, with a time of 2:03.88.

- The swimming feels good, I feel strong, but it is very hard mentally with 200 meters.

The hundred ring remains, it boosts me a lot.

The fact that I didn't just go to the semifinals, but swam my way to it and deserved that place, says Åstedt and continues:

- A race like this does not drag me down.

Compared to the WC debut in Budapest, where Åstedt was eliminated after falling behind in just 200 meters, she feels better prepared mentally.

- I feel much safer, especially on the other distances.

It's most difficult before, in the call room and so on.

But when I go out here I feel much calmer than at the WC.

Hanna Bergman, Elvira Mörtstrand and Alicia Lundblad did not progress from the trials either.
