Real Madrid won their fifth Super Cup, with a goal from Karim Benzema, who continues to write his legend in the Spanish club.

With 324 goals, the French player surpasses one of the legends of Spanish football, Raúl, and becomes the second top scorer in the history of the Madrid club.

What to hope for a Golden Ball...

Real Madrid won their fifth Supercup in their history on Wednesday evening, in this match which sees the winner of the Champions League and the winner of the Europa League meet.

Victory yesterday 2-0 for Madrid against Eintracht Frankfurt, thanks in particular to a goal from Karim Benzema.

At 34, the Frenchman continues to write his legend.

324th goals

If in 97, we had said to little Karim, ten years old and from Bron, in the Lyon suburbs, "you will mark the history of Real Madrid", not sure he would have believed us.

And yet, last night in Helsinki, on the occasion of the European Super Cup, Karim Benzema entered a little more into the history of the Madrid club.

A historic 324ᵉ goal for the Frenchman who overtakes one of the legends of Spanish football, Raúl, by one unit.

So yes, he is still far from Cristiano Ronaldo's 450 goals and probably he will never reach them.

But the Blues striker can still boast of being the second highest scorer in the history of Real Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Thirteen years spent in the Spanish capital, 606 matches to play and 23 trophies won with Real.

Quite simply a record for a Frenchman abroad.

Finally, we say to ourselves that there is only this famous Ballon d'Or left that an entire country has been impatiently waiting for since Zinedine Zidane in 1998. Come on, two more months to wait to find out, but it's a long time.
