The Swedish stars Peder Fredricson and Henrik von Eckermann impressed in jumping's first competition at the WC in Denmark.

They came fourth and fifth in the time jumping and together with Jens Fredricson they gave Sweden a phenomenal start in the team competition.

- It was nice to get started.

For me this round is the worst.

Getting started and seeing how the horse reacts and everything, says von Eckermann to SVT Sport.

Peder Fredricson and All In were fourth.

Eight tenths behind today's leader, Frenchman Julien Epaillard.

Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward were fifth, but were not happy to be beaten by third place Martin Fuchs.

- I would have liked to be in front of Martin for what is to come, but now I am right behind and have to chase there, says the world number one.

Jens Fredricson made his WC debut at Markan Cosmopolit and immediately impressed.

He was flawless in the time 84.50 and that was enough for a 23rd place.

- It was good.

We made a plan to finish around 84 seconds so I thought it turned out very well.

He was forward, but not unmanageable, he says.

Malin Baryard Johnsson and Indiana did not succeed, but had two errors.

But it does nothing for the Swedish team as the worst for the day is eliminated.

It is even at the top in the team competition, but Sweden is just ahead of France and Belgium for the coming days.

The team competition continues tomorrow with a 1.65 vault.

From it, the top ten teams qualify for the second round.
