'Smile Jumper' Woo Sang-hyeok maintained his position in 'Active Men's High Jump Big 2'.

Woo Sang-hyeok finished second in the 2022 World Athletics Federation Diamond Grieg Men's High Jump at the Fontvieille Louis II Stadium in Monaco after a 'jump off' with Katara's Mutaz Essa Basim in overtime.

The record of Woo Sang-hyuk and Bashim was 2m30.

In the jump-off, Woo Sang-hyeok could not cross the bar, and Basim passed 2m30 and took first place.

Woo Sang-hyeok passed 2m20, 2m25, 2m28, and 2m30 all in the first time.

However, after raising the bar to 2m32, unfortunately all three attempts failed.

The bar depths of 2m20, 2m25, 2m28, and 2m30 all succeeded in the first round, but did not exceed 2m32.

In the end, Woo Sang-hyeok and Bashim of the 'Active Men's High Jump Big 2' entered the 'jump off' to determine the 1st place.

It is a method of ending the match if success and failure are crossed first by trying one turn at a time.

In the 2m32 jump-off, Woo Sang-hyuk lightly touched the bar with his butt, and the bar center also failed in the first 2m32 jump-off.

The two lowered the bar to 2m30 and jumped off again.

Woo Sang-hyuk also failed the 2m30 jump off.

A track match was in progress when Woo Sang-hyuk was standing on the main road, so there was a bad thing that the rhythm was shaking.

Basim successfully jumped off 2m 30 and won the Monaco Diamond League champion title.

Woo Sang-hyuk congratulated his 'rival' Bashim on winning the championship and hugged him lightly.
