Börje Salming was the first Swedish player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

And even though he stopped playing in 1993, i.e. long before today's Junior crowns were born, the respect is great.

- He is a great player in Swedish hockey.

He wasn't really active in my time.

But you have seen highlights and heard him speak.

He has meant a lot to Swedish hockey, says Simon Edvinsson.

And captain Emil Andrae agrees that it is a great player who deserved to be celebrated.

- Very boring for him, of course.

We mourn with him.

Glad we could do something for him today.

Having 21 on the club is probably the least we can do.

He is a legend in Sweden, says Emil Andae to SVT Sport.

- He is one of Sweden's best players we have had.

It's clear you want to honor him, says Daniel Torgersson to SVT Sport.

Börje Salming is 71 years old.
