Despite a star-studded team, Malmö FF is only in sixth place in the Allsvenskan.

Now a new recruitment has been made.

It is the Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey who has signed a 4.5 year contract.

- I feel a great pride.

Malmö FF is the biggest club in Sweden so I am happy to be here and look forward to starting training with the team, he says to the club's website.

Sports director Daniel Andersson is very pleased with the signing.

- Emmanuel is a player we have known for a long time but who we did not think was possible to connect with us until the last week.

He is a central midfielder and has all the qualities that we think are important for that position, he says.

Lomotey, who has made three international appearances, has represented Spanish Extremadura and Villarreal's second team before Amiens.
