"Red Crescent" celebrates the champions of the Jiu-Jitsu team

Today, the Red Crescent held an honoring ceremony at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the UAE jiu-jitsu team's mission and the honorable achievements of its champions in the World Games in Birmingham, during which they won five colored medals, two gold, silver, and two bronze.

The event was attended by Mohammed Yousef Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary-General for Support Services, on behalf of the Red Crescent Authority;

Fahd Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Deputy Secretary-General for Development and International Cooperation, Salem Al-Rayes Al-Amiri, Deputy Secretary-General for Local Affairs;

and Reef Al Khaja, Director of Marketing Department.

The ceremony honored the members of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu team, which included Yousef Al-Bairaq, a media and projects specialist, and the players Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Mohammed Al-Omari, Faisal Al-Ketbi, Balqis Abdullah and Shamma Al-Kalbani.

The delegation of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation was received by Hamoud Abdullah Al-Junaibi, Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Authority.


After receiving the delegation, the UAE national team champions visited the Red Crescent Museum, and attended a video clip showing the authority's achievements, before heading to visit the Al Ghadeer Emirati Crafts Project.

Then, the delegation was invited to a lunch hosted by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority in honor of the crowned heroes.

The UAE stars had scored a historic achievement at the World Games held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, last July, where the UAE national team champions won five colored medals. Weight 69 kg.

The rising Emirati star, Shamma Al Kalbani, scored a historic achievement by winning the bronze in the 63 kg weight category, and the bronze in the women's open weight.
