On July 23, Moustafa Zeidan accounted for a goal and two assists when Malmö FF defeated Sirius at home.

The former Sirius player started in a similar way at Studenternas in Uppsala when, in the 18th minute, he bent in a corner that Jo Inge Berget easily volleyed wide.

The home supporters were ready to cheer for the tie when a fine cross from the right found Christian Kouakou at the far post.

But even though he was in the middle of a lateral movement, Johan Dahlin was able to throw up his left hand for a really nice save.

Dahlin was forced to make another save at a corner when his own teammate, Niklas Moisander, headed it straight towards his own goal.

Luckily for him, the ball went straight to Dahlin, who steered away.

"Offside goal" was approved

Sirius' pressure finally paid off.

From a free kick far to the right, new signing Daniel Stensson hit a cross that found the forehead of a diving Marcus Mathisen for 1-1.

However, the linesman was quickly up with the flag and waved for offside.

But after some discussion with the head referee, the goal was approved, just before the half-time break.

The turnaround from the home team would be completed in the second half.

A well-timed long ball from goal scorer Mathisen came to Christian Kouakou on the run.

He received and was ice cold when he placed the ball at the far post from the left in the penalty area, between the legs of Malmö defenders.

Not even a great Johan Dahlin could reach the well-placed shot.

Malmö had their chances to equalise.

For example, through Buya Turay (who made his first match from the start in MFF) when, played by Zeidan, he got a great position.

But he didn't have the same coolness as Kouakou at the end.

Had dream states

Veljko Birmancevic had the situation where everyone thought the equalizer was a fact.

From a bouncing ball from the edge, he had an open goal, but the shot went wide.

Just in the final seconds, Malmö even had the ball in the goal.

Turay nodded from close range, but the ball was saved by David Mitov Nilsson.

In the return position, it was an offside Ola Toivonen who poked the ball in, but the goal was disallowed.

Of this, Sirius won after a solid turnaround.
