The 22-year-old was tied for ninth ahead of the final round of the British Open in Scotland.

But Sunday was not Maja Stark's day.

Shared 41st

The Swede didn't get it right at all and it was a double bogey and a total of eight bogeys.

Stark eventually finished in a tie for 41st.

- Very disappointed, I have been stressed from the beginning.

I felt on the track that: "Damn, no one cares."

I don't even think it's embarrassing because it's so hard out there.

I don't know, I kind of feel that, I don't know... It was just too much in the end, she tells Radiosporten and continues:

- I have felt that there has been a lot now in recent weeks, a lot of games.

It feels like I really need to rest, I haven't taken a day off even though I missed the cut.

I haven't taken care of it, that I can rest and now it's catching up.

"Started to reflect"

In June, Stark took a short break from golf.

"The last few months have been very busy and I have now finally started to reflect properly.

I don't think I was prepared for how much travel, gaming, media and life would affect my brain and body, but it's definitely taken its toll and I can't say I recognize myself when I'm out playing ”, she wrote on Instagram at the time.

The break was short-lived and at the end of June Stark played again on the European tour.

The British Open was the Swede's fifth competition since the break in mid-June.
