Herning, Denmark and the soccer team FC Mittjylland's arena is home to this year's Equestrian World Championship.

First up is the dressage where the medals will be awarded on Sunday evening in the team competition.

It was also Denmark that set the bar high.

The home audience offered a standing ovation after Nanna Merrald Rasmussen's program, which gave her 76.724 points, a personal record - and first place in the competition.

Miss with a pirouette

Sweden sent out Jeanna Högberg, with the horse Astoria, in the first round.

Overall, it was a good program, but there was a costly miss in connection with a pirouette.

- The pirouettes have been good in training, but I felt that I lost her a little, says Högberg to SVT Sport.

Immediately, the score dropped from just over 72.7 to 68.727, which was the final score.

- It's a little disappointing, that's all.

She has felt very charged right up until the end, but there is probably a little tension that comes when we enter the arena.

"Luckily we have three experienced"

After the first round, it was Sweden and Great Britain that were the miscalculations.

Both were outside the top ten and Sweden in 13th place.

- It is lucky that we have three seasoned championship riders left in our team, says Byström.

In addition to Jeanna Högberg, the Swedish team also consists of Julietta Ramel, Therese Nilshagen and Patrik Kittel.

In the evening's second round, it is Julietta Ramel who competes for Sweden with the horse Buriel KH
