In 2016, the then 16-year-old Lisa Gunnarsson set a youth world record, when she jumped 4.49 and erased the record that Angelica Bengtsson had held for five years.

The following year there was gold in the U20 EC, and after that there have been two more medals in the junior championships.

Gabriella Jönsson took silver

But there hasn't been any gold in senior championships, until today.

Then she won the pole vault at the SM in Norrköping, after finishing 4.XX.

She already secured the victory at 4.24, when Gunnarsson passed in the first attempt (just as she did at all heights until then) while Gabriella Jönsson pulled away.

Meijer took the bronze

Gunnarsson then requested to raise the bar to 4.35, but it stopped there.

Michaela Meijer, who won two outdoor WCs, took bronze after clearing 4.01 in the first attempt, but then ripped one attempt at 4.09 and two at 4.14.
