From the beginning, it was supposed that the match for the super welterweight world championship belt against Norwegian Cecilia Braekhus would take place at an event in Colombia on August 13.

But just over two weeks before, the match was cancelled.

The reason?

Artist Jennifer Lopez, who was due to perform at the same event, was going on honeymoon after marrying Ben Affleck for the second time.

So instead of being without the world artist, the promoter chose to postpone the entire event.

- We didn't really think it was true.

You can't do anything but laugh, even though it feels a little sour, Patricia Berghult told SVT Sport at the time.

The first indication was that the event and the title fight would instead take place on September 24.

But now the 28-year-old has found another opponent for his title fight, already until September 3.

At a gala in Liverpool, she will face Natasha Jonas for the WBO and WBC titles.

38-year-old Jonas holds the world champion belt in super welterweight since she defeated Chris Namus via technical knockout in the second round in February.

Berghult is undefeated in his career (15-0) and Jonas has eleven wins, two losses and one draw.

SVT Sport has contacted Patricia Berghult for a comment.
